    Williams suspension quick question!

I'm replacing the steering rack on my car due to a major leak, whilst I am on I'm going to replace the suspension/components so I can fully enjoy one of the cars best features!

I've just bought now front shocks, bottom arms and top mounts tonight.

my question is, should I replace the springs they have both been replace around 14,000 miles ago but this is around 8 years ago?, original front springs are around £90 each.

the genuine rear shocks are pretty expensive too, I am sure I still have my old clio 182 suspension kicking around are these the same?

are there any other options people go for, I have heard 172 stuff is the same/similar but I would prefer to wait and get the correct bits

    Thanks

    Dean

Ok fella, I agree, I just didn't know if it was correct that the 172/182 springs were the same. springs are pretty pricey but I was the car to be as perfect as possible when finished!

as above, all spring fitments are the same, so you can run 182 eibach sportlines for example on a valver, or on a 1.2 or on anything really in the mk1 or mk2 clio world

I think the 182 springs have a different part number to those of the Williams, I wonder if the 172 springs are any cheaper?

just don't want to get them fitted and the ride height look odd!

I believe 172 standard springs are the same as a Willy spring. Some people put 172 cup springs on as it firms up the ride a little and drops the front by about 5mm.... Not sure about 182 fitments though....

What are peoples thoughts on Sachs springs? Euro car parts sell these for £40 so a fair bit cheaper than Renault at £100 a side, or should I just bit the bullet?!
