Steering Rack - Power steering leak

Whilst changing my front brakes today I noticed the subframe on the drivers side of the car looked wet, upon inspection it appears the leak is coming from the steering rack. Could anyone advise the best fix? how much is a replacement or is it possible to have it repaired? The leak has only just developed but it's quite bad leaking all over.

can u tell where its leaking from.. where the pipes join? or is there a crack or hole in the actual rack itself?

I will need to get a better look at it mate, I think its coming from the rack it's self but not 100%, it has just developed to the point where the leak isn't really worth topping up as it's just leaking all over. Is there a common leak with these? do the racks usually go?

is the power steering fluid going down?

I have a similar issue with mine, Just noticed it again yesterday when I pulled my car out of the garage. Not had a chance to inspect it further but my fluid level is just fine and its been like that for a few years. Upon inspecting the fluid by smell, I actually think its gear box fluid that leaks from the rubber seal on the OS inner driveshaft.
The smell of power steering fluid is red and very smelly, i think what you see coming from your subframe is black/brown. Gear box oil.

Yeah the powersteering was empty and there was red fluid on the floor!

I could hear a kind of breathing noise coming from it when turning the steering!
