Thanks Glyn for putting this up for me...
An update - I have come back out of the wilderness and am about to get her back on the road, am aiming to be ready for FCS 2014. She's now on 98k and has been off the road for 18 months or so. Am about to replace the engine mounts, water pump and do a 'deep cleanse' on the engine bay and whatever else I have the time to do.
Thanks all,
Damo
That was taken yesterday... Managed to get her started for the first time in 18 months so I could move it into the better garage and then to taking the engine out... Got the oil and coolant out bit need to work out how to drain the PAS. I am going to need a lot of help from you guys if I'm getting it ready for FCS... Are there any 'taking the engine out guide's aimed at people who've never done it before?
I'll try and get some more photos and keep you guys updated on the progress.
My profile pic/ avatar is me hammering out of gaydon a couple years ago after I got to drive 0001...
Now that real life has calmed down, I can make some proper headway with this thing! Engine cleaned up, almost, sub frame nearly ready to be sprayed back. New manifold and reconned starter motor ready to go too...
whats the reg of 0102 please Damian
Time for a quick update... It's been another chilly winter and coupled with a new job means I've struggled to spend any time on the car. However, managed to get the subframe out and have begun cleaning it.
Even managed to get the frame out for a colour match...
Ooooooo whats the colour match number? Im wanting to match mine when I refurb it!
