How much engine oil does a Willy need?

Might be a very silly question to some people, but would rather be safe than sorry and know exactly how much to put in.

    Thanks

You will be fine with 5litres. You might get a bit left over to top up.

Maybe if the engine was totally dry. Been just over 5 litres every time I've changed the oil in mine.

Just a normal oil change with new filter, even the book mentions 6 litres. which is a bugger as Fuchs only do 4 litre cans so i always have to buy 2 and use the rest for topping up.

I also put 6L in mine, maybe even a bit more if I drained it really well. When I add oil cooler it will probably be around 7L.

Cool, we put 5 in and it was a bit tappy and not reading right on the dip stick. We have now put an extra litre in and its quiet now thankfully.
