    Caliper paint

After replacing the threads on the hubs last weekend I noticed how rough the calipers looked. I knew they were silver from the factory so I did a bit of research on how to do it, got the right colour and painted the calipers this weekend.

    Very easy job.

    Looking rough

I removed the wheel (obviously!), the the caliper and disc and took the pads out. Masked around the bits I didn't want to paint and rested them on the hubs (still connected to the lines)

    Getting there

And after 3 coats, leaving about 30 mins between coats

    And how they look now

They look much better. I would mask up the guide pin gaiters ideally, in case the layer of hardened paint affects their operation or the durability of the rubber.

Out of interest what is the paint colour?
