    Restoration on my williams 3

    hello everyone,
ive finally bought myself a williams 3 ive wanted one for years, and at 32 im thinking insurance wont be too bad and its my 2nd car so no pressure to get it sorted quickly. ive wanted one for donkeys years after owning a 1.8 16valver it was always the next step.

So i bought it for £750 of ebay needs body work etc and respray and a ton of welding but engine, gearbox are perfect, with new brakes and Rad etc.
My biggest problem at the mo is sourcing front grill, especially the rear arches, door skins and door sills does anyone have any idea where i can buy these part or recommend somewhere who can poss help?many thanks
    James

i have a grill that i can sell you.

As for panels - sills and rear wings are very hard to find. The best you can do is use a 1.2 section as a donner and modify to fit where needed.
The only way really is hand make each part.

James, this is a link to a recent restoration of my Williams 3. It might come in handy, you never know.

    Hi James

Where about's are you based? I'm currently doing something similar and as northy said rear parts are difficult to find. I've sourced a 16v as a donor car and the body shop is going to have to make it work.

Not sure what else you need but I have a few bits.

No problem, I've got some tyres on a spare set of alloys I'll have a look for you.

I know someone breaking another willy 3 at the moment so let me know what you need.
