    The hard work started yesterday, 1st fail was the sandblasting guy snowed in & unable to get to me so cracked on with the prep work.


    2nd fail that has got me massively fcuked off is this, notice the wheel on the passenger side? Yeah bent rear beam

    Hi Paddy,
    I had no idea about the beam,It was already on the car when it came from Ireland,as I never got it running,it was something I never checked.If I had a spare you could have it,but I sold it just after you bought the car.

    Shit happens mate, just an extra job on the list is all. Have you still got those hubs? I could do with them now I've had to nick the ones on the track car to get my daily runner back on the road

    Do you mean the front hubs I have on ebay with the New Renault Bearings.Grp "A" studs,powder coated etc etc.If so then yes,If you want them just let me know,I'm sure we can sort something out

    Should be wearing a couple of coats of high build primer by this evening :D

    It is just amazing and embarrassing for me what sandblasting uncovers.I was told it was a Sparco cage,with regards to the welding,I was never impressed by any of the Irish owners work to be honest,but I pointed that out on the initial survey you had.Must admit your putting me to shame,I kept it for 5 years and did not do half of what you have achieved in 5 months

    Was £150 but was very lucky in finding someone local to do it.

    FOOKIN HELL !!!!!
    That is just amazing a weeks hard graft and that ...I could be tempted to buy it back ....I think not.
    Well done Paddy,I'm available to help you plumb the brake and fuel lines in,If your gong down the AEROQUIP route if you need any advice
