She's in the workshop now
A couple of pics of the sexy as fcuk manifold
and a pic of the ride height with no engine in
Just because I've updated the Honda thread doesn't mean the Clio has been neglected
Swapping bits from the failed experiment subframe onto the unmolested 1
and the extra hole that needs drilling for the R5 gearbox mount to fit
Think this is due an update
Just for the lolz, hovercar y0!
Super dooper new & better fitting radiator made by Radtec, supplied by Bass
8 week delay courtesy of Piper being useless, sending wrong lifters then telling porkies that the correct replacements had been made & sent but head fully rebuilt, 16 new guides, valve seats, weird angle stuff cut into the seats & valves, tolerances meticulously checked to make sure we don't have a repeat of the cam locking up & destroying the head, solid lifters correctly setup & shimmed
3 hours later, rebuilt head being disassembled for porting to begin
Porting start & work in progress
Also got new brakes, Flans old setup consisting of 2 piece 298.5mm rotors & massive Wilwood Superlite calipers. Just awaiting delivery of new discs & Carbotech XP10 pads
Think I need to get the wheels rebalanced though
Should have some more updates in the next few days as we're hoping to have the car back up & running in time for a trackday on friday

He He Paddy...Also got new brakes, Flans old setup consisting of 2 piece 298.5mm rotors & massive Wilwood Superlite calipers.
What I co-incidence the brake set you bought ...was what I sold to Flan ...when I first got the Irish car...so they have the business and now landed back on the Irish car.
Rodders
Small world eh
Funny you mention them as me & my mate kept looking at your AP's, saying "****it lets have them" swiftly followed by "how the **** are we paying for them?" This was a weekly conversation until these came up for sale
Long overdue update 0131 has been kicked out of the workshop to make room for the little jobs that need to be done to get this finished
Jobs to do are:
remove engine to fit new flywheel & baffled sump
rewiring to run wasted spark
finish fabrication of mountings for the new seats
add harness bars to the cage
finish fitting flocked dash
then fire it up & get it mapped
Already booked the 1st outing at Bedford Autodrome on the 27th March
oh and it'd be wrong of me to miss out the track car next to my new road toy
