depends how worn and what compound but I wouldn't pay more than £200 personally
Yea I will offer £400 for all of em :D
He has two new at £90 each too.
Remember they are at the best at part worn.. with plenty of heat in them.
People pay to have the the tops scrubbed.
A048'R are better than 888's but alot more expensive. See if you can find some of them... 205/50/15
Got AD08's already, and although they are okay, i find them too soft sidewalled...or the KW V2's I have suck balls even after springs upgrade...Toyo R1R's felt better sidewalled.
A048's are renowned for having a much stronger side wall than R888's. I find the Toyo's still have a lot of flex in the sidewall tbh, I've got 4 sets to use up, then I'll be looking at other alternatives, possibly even 595rs-r's.
£200 for part worns sounds pricey. I know prices have gone up in the past year or two since but I bought a set of four brand new in 205 width for £280 from a tyre shop. Also find out where he is storing them - if they are on his car or out in a non-heated garage somewhere at the moment then bear in mind that he is not keeping them in the manner advised by Toyo who says that they should not be exposed to frost or sub-zero temperatures!
I paid around £200 for brand new ones from Evogone the other year. If there's nothing else about though I suppose it's still a lot better than buying brand new, depends on if the tread ware is even though.
