Cheers for the old pics and info Northy. Originally purchased by Sir Colin Stansfield Smith (architect). Now owned by me. I bought it around two years ago on about 110k. Was missing the rear parcel shelf you see in the pics above, although I have put the one from my valver in it for the moment (without the suit carrier).

    Here's some more recent photos:

Some of you may have already heard the story but after conducting some investigations I found that this car was originally purchased by a reknowned architect and first class cricketer called Sir Colin Stansfield Smith. I had been planning on getting in touch with him for some time to see if he had any fond memories of the car and any history he could relate to me. I had the original address but had thought that I might have more success contacting him through the University he was associated with, or through RIBA, but I had not got around to it. I finally 'got with the 21st century' a few weeks ago and got myself one of those new-fangled smartphone things that you can do the internet on and thought I would now use the 2 hour commute on the train to catch up with all those things I had been meaning to do for a while and had not got around to yet. So I went googling to see if I could find a mail address for Sir Colin. Unfortunately I was sad to find instead his obituary and that he had passed away a few weeks ago from a stroke at the age of 80.

    Rest in peace Sir Colin.

    Hi Chaps!

Great to see my review is being found on google!

In regards to 'RPX' how is she treating you stevie? or has she been largely parked in the dry?

Sorry, only just noticed the recent posts today! Thanks for posting that article Northy - she looks great in those photos. Yes, bradders it is just stored in the dry most of the time these days although did come out this weekend for a clean, polish and trip to a car show (photo in the pictures section). I did a few things to it when I first got it so it is in pretty good fettle now although I have a new clutch ratchet to go on it sometime as it gets stuck down now and then.
