16v vs Williams exhaust systems ?

I am currently running a log manifold and associated downpipe on my Renault 9 and i am having shit loads of zorst
fumes in the cabin especially after giving it some beans . Its really bad

My theory is that because the log manifold mates the downpipe so high up when engine jerks under hard acceleration
the joint splits for a wee bit allowing the fumes to escape at the joint and enter into the cabin via heater vents .

Now as i understand williams manifold meets its downpipe much lower compared to 16v and i am hoping by using a williams
manifold and downpipe i can tackle the fume problem i am having ?

Anybody think this will work ?
Can anyone that had both clio 16v and willams confirm 16v are more likely to get fumes in the cabin ?

Shouldn't be that bad tbh either way. What about the downpipe to Cat/Decat? Leaks there can seep up through gear lever housing. Sure it's not oil breather issues? Cracked maniflod?

Log maniflods are generally referred too when a turbo is used btw.
