Fitting left hand driveshaft - grease inner joint?

Hi all, i'min the process of fitting new driveshafts. I'm wondering if the tripod on the left hand driveshaft needs greasing before i fit the driveshaft? The haynes manual doesn't mention it and afaik the tripod runs in the gearbox oil?

    TIA
