    Best Head gasket - Renault vs Competition MLS

    Whats the best to use on a competition engine ? mine blown between 1-2 cylinders.......Looks like it had a std one fitted and lasted 2.5years on competition ??????

    Also if using an Megane head then i guess i need an F7R 710 gasket / headset set, or are they the same as the williams?

    same as Williams iirc

    payen are decent gaskets or if you want to run something thicker I use a 1.6mm spesso on the turbo, just be mindful that it will drop the compression slightly so you may want to overskim the head a bit to compensate

    Have a look at Prima Racing ones. I can't remember the name but there's some really good ones out there apparently, but you obviously pay a big premium for an HG.

    I used the metal mls i think on mine. Only thing that didnt need replacing on the bloody turbo lump.

    I think i will bite the bullet and get a WRC spec athena MLS gasket 140 mind but hey its a fraction of the engine cost....
