    Fitting a 173 ITB'd motor to a Williams shell??

Guys I'm currently looking at different options for a weekend/track car,

Im thinking of fitting a ITB'd 172 motor to a Williams shell,

Is this a fairly simple job or are there a lot of hidden extras needed to make this work?

Can the Williams loom be used etc or not?

Any info would be great guys,

    Cheers Paul

From what I can find on the net it looks like the swop it's self is simple but you have to mod the loom and fabricate a down pipe?

    Any input anyone?

Foxy on cs has written a guide to do this. That simple now you could do it in a long weekend!!!!

The loom wont be an issue as such because you need a custom made loom & standalone engine management if you want to run itb's, Laine_16v & Beanie are or have run F4R's with itb's in a mk1 shell so lots of info available in their project threads, f0xy's thread will only be more useful if you're going to use a 172 engine on standard inlet
