Believe this is the list of master cylinders from the key manufacturers which are a direct replacement for standard one when fitting 4 pot brakes.
23.8mm bore 4 x 10mm connections.

Cheers Evo. Could come in handy if I ever decide to try changing the master cylinder on mine. Do you have a 23.8 bore one on yours? Have you experimented with any other bore sizes?
Got one from a local factors today (not a big brand name) but should work. Will confirm tomorrow.!!! 19mm one causes a long pedal.Originally Posted by stevie_b
Got the 23.8 in combination with grA 4pots (280mm rotor/bells AP's). Works great, 20mm was like a sponge.
great link btw, thx.

Does anyone know where the thread about 4 pots & master cylinders is The 1 that gives you the equation to work out total piston area of the calipers and the master cylinder, been trying to find it for bloody ages
Fitted to mine and the pedel is MINT....one of the best mods to date with the Alcons.
What master cylinder have you fitted then?? I might just go buy one plus I know someone else who could do with it as well
Would this be over kill on a standard set up. Cant help but feel the standard set up could feel better, more positive
