It may just be the clutch has been put in backwards. Easy enough to do.

well if you'e done all the other stuff it's looking more likely to be incorrect fitment, possible wrong clutch as well, happened to me once

just a question, how long between the rebuild and re-start the car ? I'm asking this because 2 weeks ago i had the same problem with a 19 16v who stood in the corner for 2 years.

On iddle impossible to select a gear, tought the bearing or pressureplate was gone. Did a jumpstart (1 gear and give it a go), problem solved, the clutch sticking because it was not used for 2 years.

Its worth the try before you take the gb back off. If it dont work, then i'm affraid the friction plate sits backwards.

    Good luck.
