Williams 3 for sale - Standard car

    For Sale - Williams 3 - N184 EAT

Registered on 30/11/95 and supplied by Trenton Limited Renault in Hull.

She has had 4 previous owners and has covered 123,000 from new and has full history to support this mileage being genuine.

The service history with the car is excellent and is displayed in a presentation folder in date order. This contains thousands of pounds worth of reciepts to prove that the car has always been kept to an excellent standard. The original service book is stamped full renault until 100,000 miles and then specialist reciepts to prove thereafter.

The original sales package is complete with all books supplied from new including the owners manual, Williams additional manual suppliment and even an original car price guide from November 1995 when the car was supplied.

She is in full original condition except for a magnex stainless steel (correct williams part) backbox which i fitted to the car 2 months ago due to the old one blowing. This can of course be fitted to put her back to standard.

The car is running standard everything, including original air box.

I recently fitted (within the last 1000 miles) a full set of Bridgestone Potensa tyres and had the car laser aligned. She has also had a handful of jobs done including new ball joints, the petrol tank pump refitted (seal failed) and the gearbox oil replaced.

She always starts first time, doesn't smoke at all, does not have any tappet noise (even from cold). The gearbox is smooth (when hot and cold), doesnt jump out of gear (like my old 16V used to) and pulls straight and strong through all gears. Again, standard ECU, rev limiter ETC.

Body wise she is very clean with the only signs of rust starting on the passenger side wing and inside the boot where the drain plugs are. This is only very small though. The underside of the car is excellent, the inside of the petrol cap is rust free, one arch is completly rust free, the doors are rust free as is the whole exterior. She is not perfect and has scuffs and marks as you would expect but she polishes up very nicely.

Electric Windows both work, as do both mirrors and also the sunroof which tilts and full slides. The rev counter is intermittent and was working until yesterday! I will look into this in the next couple of days.

She will be suppied with a full new MOT.

Car is based in Guildford Surrey and I hope that i can sell her to another enthusiast. If you want to hear the story as to why i need to sell her (after looking for one for a long time) give me a call on 07585 552699 or PM me on this forum.

Below are photos which were taken over the past 2 months (just before i had the new tyres fitted) and the arch shots today.

I have always wanted a Williams and I will be sad to see her go but a new project is looming and my other half says the Willy has to go! She is a third car so not in daily use.

    I'm looking for £2800

And finally, the only rusty bit:

    Thanks for looking - Matt

Really, no offers or emails at all?!

She has had lots of things done over the past month including new standard suspension, poly bushing the antiroll bar and lots of little bits...

    Also, new decals...

Do you just have it advertised here? I'd try eBay (although it has been overrun with Williams' of late) or Autotrader for £2,495 ono (just considering the rust, speedo and wheels problem). Also maybe try selling it on a classic car site.

Many people on this site already have a Williams and not many buyers would consider signing up to here before buying.

I'd have gone for this but i've taken the plunge with a BMW E34 M5 instead. It seems good original cars are very thin on the ground.
This car is exactly what I was looking for, unmolested, good history backed up with invoices, relatively low number of owners, what looks like original paint and, most of all, it looks like it has been taken care of. The rust doesn't bother me as i'd get it repaired by someone that I trusted, so many seem to have been bodged.

As said, advertise it on Pistonheads, Ebay, Autotrader and maybe even ClassicCars. You may have to wait a while for the right buyer that appreciates it for what it is but if it's as nice as it looks, theprice doesn't seem daft.

Good luck with the sale and I may contact you if I don't get on with my new car.

If you want some advise I would suggest lowering your price by a fair whack.
