What should be connected to this pipe on inlet manifold.
What should be connected to this pipe on inlet manifold.
There should be a long pipe which goes down to the back of the air filter box. If you have a induction kit, you will need to put a breather on there.
looks like an r19 inlet mani to me mate. should only be the 1 oulet there iirc.
I mean the small pipe highlighted, the larger pipe that goes to the air filter has just been disconnected to take the photo.Originally Posted by diditno
As far as I know Jon it's the original manifold and I'm sure there was something connected here before I stripped it down.Originally Posted by 2 live

Show us a pic of the throttle body end of the manifold, will be able to tell if it's a clio or R19 manifold then
There should only be one outlet:
Sorted, it goes to the control valve thingy behind the offside headlight. Part of the somewhat redundant fuel vapour canister arrangement.
The reason for this latest stripdown was a catastrophic cam belt failure as a result of overtightening the cam belt when it was changed last year.
To ensure the belt was tightened correctly this time I borrowed a tension meter from my local friendly Renault dealer that works on the sound frequency of the belt when you flick it with your finger. Simple to use, never heard of this before.
Is this fuel vapour device not fitted on original Williams 1. I assume your pic is of your car, Wobba.
it is but the feed for it comes from the end of the inlet close to the canister system, not there. it may be the very early ones have it there as the engine originally came from the 19, however that normally applies to early F7P as that was the one transposed into the clio, the F7R came later
