I checked with Renault UK before I purchased this vehicle to verify the credentials as I thought only 400 were made. They informed me that 500 Mk 1's were made and although they could not pair chassis numbers to individual certificate plates they confirmed that it was an original Mk1.

I have owned this car for 14 years it has 3 previous owners and I have all the service history, MOT's etc. The only modifications are Scorpion exhaust (fitted prior to my purchase) Clifford alarm and £1000 worth of audio equipment. It has been cared for while in my ownership and has not been driven hard, although I have had fun with it.
The wheels were refurbished in 2000 and are still good. I had the car totally re-sprayed and the rusty rear arches replaced at a cost of £5000 in 2007. A full professional rebuild of the gear box at a cost of over £1000 in 2008. Since then it has done very few miles MOT's to prove. Last year the steering UJ was replaced. Tyres are good, interior is good, exterior very good only the engine bay requires cleaning. I am reluctant to part with it but I can no longer justify spending money on a car that is hardly used also I have too many other expensive hobbies. It has been garaged when not in use. MOT until April 2013 Taxed until end of August 2012

You will only be allowed to drive this vehicle if you can produce proof that you have insurance to cover it, but I will take you for a drive if you are a genuine buyer.

I have reduced the price as I would like to sell the car before the end of May. I am open to sensible offers but will not give the car away. I will be advertising this car on other sites.

Hi this is my car I have owned for years and will sell it if I find the right buyer, one intends to carry on looking after it. The reg is L492 GBU first registered in Manchester, then to a couple of owners before I acquired it. I really should put all the history into order, I've got it all, full service history, all MOT's and shed loads of receipts.

For sale is my Renault Clio Williams One.

This car was first registered 14/01/1994, and is numbered 424 of 500 limited Williams one's produced.

The car is MoT'd until May 2017.

The cam belt was changed in 2012 by a specialist at around 100k miles. Current mileage is 107k.

The car has a comprehensive service history

1. Stamped service book from 1994 until 2007 (until 98,400k miles)

2. Lever arch folder of receipts for work done on the car from 1999 onwards. There is also the original Renault wallet with handbook, dealer info etc.

3. MoT certificates from 1998 until the present day correponding to the mileage in the service history.

I purchased the car from the previous owner in May 2015. The owner prior to him had owned the car for 15 years (a bill of sale in the folder shows this was in 1999).

During that period he had a full professional re-spray, including replacement of the rear quarter panels. The car has been used for a further 8 years since then, and there is some bubbling on the right rear arch and a small amount of rust coming through on the right rear sill.


The interior is in superb original condition, other than some speakers in the rear parcel shelf, but the seats show no wear whatsoever. There is also a full Category 1 Clifford alarm installed (with all the paperwork). There is also a Scorpion back box installed.

Since I’ve had the car I have replaced the battery ; had a wheel bearing done and had a coolant flush as part of a general service – all reflected in the receipts.

I’m selling the car as I realised I wasn’t using it enough to justify holding on to it – I’ve done around 800 miles in it since I bought it over 18 months ago.

The car is garaged and not used in the wet at all.

I have dropped the price to reflect the fact that there is some minor rust on the right rear arch and that I would like to sell the car before the Autumn sets in.
