Hi Willant... love this thread, I think what Daz means is the coolant isn't Type D which is a light green colour as below.

Unfortunately to get the minty fresh green colour will require an extensive coolant flush... its a painful process.

Don't worry about the lack of miles... sounds good to me.

To be fair if I was going to drive it I think it would be an issue, but that's not what this ones about. I just feel very lucky to have it. It means alot to me because of personal reasons. And I would have another to drive if the right one came up

One thing I can't understand is these cars seem to be so overlooked by so many people? If you compare them with other manufacturers at the time I think you would struggle to get something so advanced for the money. My clio does'nt look dated even now I don't think. If you look at the engine bay on these and say a focus st theres not much difference, (if you see what I mean) were as do the same on a ford escort.

Just my opinion, but I think these cars were well ahead of there time, but don't seem to fetch the money of say a comparible rs?!

Hope these are ok, I'm not sure exactly which parts you mean, anyway if you need anymore just let me know.

Also, just before a bufty slates me, I know it needs cleaning underneath but I want to do it properly with removing any of the original markings etc and I just hav'nt had time.
