It's quite a good read, but nothing much happens in the last 20 pages or so. The best bits are at about page 10.
Yayyy!! At last Keep 'em coming...that manifold shot is giving me a twitch!
Right, just sorted how to do the pics again, Sorry but i am really rubbish with all things PC.
Since I've got the car home i have given it a right good clean, and to be honest I am now wondering what to do with it, what I mean is that as it stands it is very original. it's still on the original tyres!!! and it is very very clean already, so I am very reluctant at this point to start changing parts for shiny new ones. I've put the original air box back on and will put the original discs on, and I just need an original exhaust system if anyone can help with that.
(It has a full mongoose system on at the moment which I'm happy for someone to have if they want to collect it.)
I think I have probably over paid for the car, but the owner wouldn't budge on price so if I wanted it that was the price. To me it's worth every penny though, I feel really spoilt to be able to have this car, and it keeps making me smile when i think about it, it means a lot to me personally. without sounding to sentimental, the last time I had one of these times were a lot harder for us, and I remember being gutted every time I saw one on the road for about three years after I had to sell mine. it's like going back in time and is acting as a reminder of things could quite easily have gone the other way for us, I surprisingly felt quite emotional when I drove her home. like I say I do feel extremely lucky to have been able to buy this one.
Lastly, on a lighter note. I have three boys age six, eight and eleven, I have been lucky enough to have brought home some extremely nice cars over the last few years, and I know it sounds awful but they have always acted a bit spoilt to be honest in the past and I've found myself saying "My dad had a yellow escort van with black wings!!!!!" and things along those lines when there reaction has been underwhelming to say the least. However, all that was completely different with the williams, they were all over it like a rash, I was actually crying laughing at there enthusiasm for the car!! "will you take me to school in this one daddy" and "is it a real rally car?"
Anyway it's all good news up to now and it's already given me a couple of good memories.
Anthony.
P.S. The plate is coming off and it will be on it's age related plate.
