^^^ Agreed. I already had one but wanted a minter. The cash was there but the time to do it myself wasn't so when a minter came up I did the same as Willant has and I'm well chuffed with it. I'd still class myself as an enthusiast ..these pics are making me moist....even though I cant take any credit for the actual vehicle.

I've not been on here for a while, but just found this thread and thought it needed a "what happened next"
Basically I bought the car, it is in showroom condition both on top and underneath. I paid 10k for it. I've had it nearly 12 months now and i've got to say that I'm still absolutely over the moon with it!!
10k does seem alot but when I see rs turbos going for 20k plus, it seems like a bargain.

It's what it's worth to me i suppose that matters, and I'm made up.

Lastly, the reaction from people who know what it is ace, and out of all the cars I've brought home this is the one the kids love the most!

I've only done 200 miles in it, and 35 of that was to renault manchester for a service! I know they were built to be driven but I can't bring myself to take it out! I've become really protective with my litttle clio. I feel like I've got a peice of automotive history and feel very very lucky to have it.
Having said that, I'm not ashamed to admit that I've done about 5000 imaginary miles sat behind the wheel with a brew. I'm 40 years old by the way with 3 kids! Me and my nine year old have done the imaginary rac rally!!! Obviously he was the co driver, he just kept shouting "90 hard over crest!!" I'm not sure what he meant but it seemed to work because we won!!

Anyway, thanks for all your interest, best go and do some work!
