How much are spring compressors? And do places like halfords sell them?


Also how do you stop the bottom of the springs rusting on the strut? The protective coating gets rubbed off leaving bear metal and it rusts. A bit of waxoly on that area prevent this. Im sure this is why the bottom of springs break off.


And for Mark - Are you still doing the spring selling stuff, havnt heard back about the last batch old man. You were waiting for a few more people to be ready until you purchased any?

not much u can do to stop rust - just keep ontop of it when u see it.

Filling the spring cup with Waxoyl or grease might work i've never tried it so I can't be sure. I don't think it would be detrimental to the working of the spring.

Just make sure the drain holes don't get blocked up.
