    Door pockets

I'm currently in the process of sprucing up my interior and I have come to a standstill at the door pockets. The ones I have are battered and are letting the car down, and the ones I've seen on other Clios are also in a poor state.

They are no longer available from Renault so does anyone have any alternatives? I've considered painting them but would mean sanding them down, then about 20 layers so avoid flaking.

When you say battered do you mean broken/cracked or just worn looking and dirty?
If they just need a spruce up try this enamel paint from halfords.

Its very close to the original color.

As for the door cards I had a go at repairing one of mine last year and with quite a good result also.

If the elbow rest is too far gone though it may not work out.

Have you tried the enamel paint on the pockets fab?

As for the crease repair, looks great, I'm going to have to pinch that technique off of you for my passenger door card! What glue did you use for that construction, just a simple wood one?

Yes enamel paint worked a treat.
here's a quick pic of the color..

As for the door card, yes the strongest glue you can find for wood.
On the bottom piece of mdf I cut a ridge in it to hold the other piece (that sits on top of it) as securely as possible.
    It's worth a go a think.

btw espace window switch's are the same as the willies one touch driver switch

That looks real good. How did you prep them prior to spraying (if at all)?
    Cheers, Charlie.

Cleaned the pocket with some white spirits/thinners to make sure I got most or the dust/dirt off. Did not use a primer.
Then just lightly sprayed the pocket and it came up as new.

Top drawer fab, cheers for all that, appreciate it. I'll give it all a go at some point!
