    Been on the rollers

Well had Duf on the rollers this morning.

Back on my local rollers, which ran my Ph1 172 over 5 odd years (With filter, exhaust and matched inlet combo) always came out between 170-173bhp.

    Duf came out with:

    Fly - 176 bhp
    Wheels - 149 bhp
    Torque - 140 lb ft

Happy with that, bear in mind the map needs work, and the exhaust manifold/downpipe join is blowing like hell.

The important bit though, (The reason why I had it ran up) is to make sure the map is safe, which it is.

As I thought, it is pinking at low revs under load, but not enough to do any damage, and once over 3000 rpm it is ok.

It does need a remap though, the AFR's are over the shop a bit, so more power to come, but generally seems pretty healthy

    Modifications are:

    Angelworks cams
    Cat pulleys
    Filter and exhaust
    Prowler manifold
    gunnerchip

LEAN!!! Injectors are maxed completely if that output is real or close to it

Not sure how accurate the numbers are Danny TBH, you know what rollers are like lol.

Funny thing is, see how lean it gets? Well it seems to still produce an ok curve, then when it srts to richen up it looses a bit - thought that was a bit odd?

    Hey Russ,

Where do you get this done? being only one county up would be interesting to come check mine on 'local' rollers?

Assuming the AFR sensor they used isn't mis-reading, that needs a remap.

Yea I see the richer fuelling from 3-4k and the dip in progressive power, but you see that on a lot of maps and it isn't just because of fuelling, and in fact if it wasn't getting a richer fuel then perhaps the slow down in bhp gain would be worse...still, it's too lean at low revs. Need more fuel and the advance to be wound back a few degrees at the low revs probably.

ignore the fueling below 4k tbh, it's never accurate on a power run unless the sensor is in the front pipe. From the tailpipe it's always miles out at lower revs.

It's very lean from that point on though. Remember 1 AFR point is essentially a 15% change in fueling. Standard injectors are maxed (100% duty) at a theoretical 168bhp

The drop off at the top revs is a natural curve from the engine characteristics

Wobba, yes as i said in my original post, it does need a remap, its some sort of gunner chip which is apparently made for a cammed williams, but as we know a custom map is required and will be better.

Danny, what injectors do you suggest? I might grab some before its mapped, better to be safe than sorry!

Apart from the lower revs, do you think it's safe?

I'm guessing it's running Cat 225s which won't push the injectors to their limit

If you do need bigger, R21 turbo injectors will work
