    Alternators

    Are valver f7p and Megane f7r alternators the same as a Williams?[/img]

    valver & williams are 100% the same, not sure on the megane though

    Valver and Willy not the same actually...Valver is a 70watt, Willys is 90. I use a valver one though without any issues.

    Cheers guys. Got a valver one on the shelf. I'll give it a whirl. Hopefully the battery being in the boot won't be an issue

    I think 172's use 110watt. Unless you have a big phat stereo though I doubt you'll ever need that.

    Clio Maxi also used 110A alternator and there was no stereo. :P

    but they had the extra drain of the intercom, timing equipment, aux lights/lightpod etc and no doubt a small battery ;)
