    I'm back

    Hello everybody!

I haven't been reading a forum for quite a while now anyway, hopefully I'll do an update quite soon on what's been done in the mean time.

    Cheers

    David

Ok, finnaly got round doing an update!
Did some work on my car lately. Replaced front shocks and top mount bearings I also add Clio V6 washers to cure the knocking along with Eibach camber bolts to compensate neg camber. Few pics:

Also did an upgrade on my dogbone mount. It had too much play in it so I cut out the rubber on the bigger end and used a "wishbone bush" instead. Aluminium spacer had to be made and both things pressed together. Here are the pics of spacer/bush not pressed in enough yet, but you get the idea of final product.

It feels much more solid but not too much hardcore for daily use, just what I wanted. I just hope it will last as I'm already feeling some play compared to when I first drove with it, but it's not that much, still miles better than stock.
I'll update the engine build thread soon! :P

Nice work with the wishbone bush.

Although TBH a set of powerflex bushes would have been just as effective and a lot easier to do, lol

They may have been easier but certainly not so cheap. I also heard a lot of bad things about power flex bushes so that turned me off.

aye good thinking with the wishbone bush. would have thought theyd be more substantial than oe dogbone mounts. but as chip said, the powerflex bushes do a good job. had mine fitted for ....quite a few years now. still no play. and theyve not had an easy life.

    welcome back btw ;)
