    Dealing with minor rust

    Hi guys,

The body on my willy 2 is pretty tidy but there are a few patches under the bonnet and on the boot floor where the inevitable rust has begun to break through.

I think I need to remove the rust first, then apply rust inhibitor and then I can start thinking about adding some 449 paint. Correct?

I am also worried about damaging the surrounding good paint and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good products to use to remove the rust or any recommended primers?

    Thanks

The only way to remove rust is to cut it out and weld in a new piece of steel. You can paint some rust killer on it but its a waste of time. If its not cut out it will come back.
