Standard Exhaust middle section measurements

Hi.
anyone know the bore size of the exhaust centre section on the willy or valver for that matter?

I have a plan.
Run a centre silencer from the downpipe to the elbow leaving out the cat which will hopefully get rid of that annoying motorway drone at 3K and in the process not cause too much back pressure.
I wouldn't mind, 3K rpm in 5th gear and your more or less on the speed limit. You either have to speed up or slow down.WTF!
