    Yep I would of been! However, the car has already been prepped all over! Besides it's only costing me another £300 as it is, which I'm more than happy to pay for for a rust free shell.

    All the rust is on the drivers side which is a tad odd!

    While it will be rust free, it will also be a patchwork quilt of repair panels, i'd still be looking at a different shell, especially given how long you are likely to keep it.

    If done properly and all welds seamlessly ground back then it will be good, buy another shell of the same age and it could be rusty elsewhere

    Fingers crossed, we've given the car a good going over carpets are out etc, the only other bit is a rusty heatsheild on the exhaust elbow and the scuttle but we knew about them. S'all good

    Ok small update,


    Fitted



    Jack damage repaired


    Cill is now hard as nails


    Floor patched


    Arch in


    Front arch repaired


    Screen out

    Been into bodyshop today, to find all the welding is now complete! Joy! No more rust
    floor has been sorted,




    Sill has been smoothed in yay

    X
    Door shut cleaned up


    Engine bay in primer yay!!! One v happy mrs lold




    thankfully no leaky powersteering will return here!


    Ok remember the hole in the skuttle? Quite frankly the only bit I was worried about...before saw the floor?!?
    Well it turns out the repair was **** simple!

    Two cuts in the dash bend back weld in plate, bend back weld up, grind clean lol





    And one photo before I left!

    This is pretty much the work needed to get mine where I'd like it to be, i've got rust in the same places pretty much, although haven't checked the floorpan
