    roof strip rubbers

    one of the rubbers on my willy 1 doesnt sit right and its sticking up a bit? does it need new clips? or a new strip? i take it they just snap down into the channels with clips?

    iirc, you will need a new strip. Once the strip is removed, there are metal lugs (part of the roof) in the gutters. The rubber strips just push down onto these lugs, don't THINK there are any seperate clips. The rubber strips are like the exterior window scraper seals and once they have bent bent/kinked slightly you will never get them to sit perfectly without getting brand new ones

    Yeah mate, they have plastic clips that hold them in place
    I still need some after removing them to have the roof painted as they all broke

    Scrap yeard and help yourself. I have a box of them i have collected over time. If you break them getting them off you can mend them with a soldering iron.

    I got some from Renaullt - last year though.... They are clipped in - you will need to buy the clips separately.

    yep me to got 2 new trim's and to clip packs
    the trims are about £25+vat and clips £7+vat
    the trick is to fit clips to the lugs on car first the push the trim down on to clip's
    if you want i think i have the part no if that help's

    You might want to try other dealers as they might have them in stock, I got mine on the day I asked for them at my local stealers & they're usually pretty crap for having any mk1 parts on the shelf

    But that was 3 years ago

    Ok

    I got a price of £75 for the drivers side and £643 for passenger side...ermmm ok

    I've got a good set from a scrappy will fit them later
