    Emergency fuel pump change

Friday night on the way home from work ,The 19 dies on a busy road :(
After a quick check i figure out the fuel pump thats been whining for the last 7 years have finally died . I push the car to the nearest side street and get a lift with my mate (yes i have the odd one :P
Come back saturday morning and give RAC man a call so that he beams us up to mine . As it happens i have a spare fuel pump and i decide to take the short/smart way to replace it .
The complete swap job from start to finish took less than an hour and i did take my time .

    Pics do rest of the talking ;

The new pump to go in

boot floor carefully cut to allow access to the pump .
Note the dremel borrowed from our very own e-laine who has
succesfuly rebored his F7P bottom end to a whopping 2.0 litre

after a quick clean up of the area to stop crap getting in the tank
during replacement . Hoses taken out and blocked to stop fuel coming out

    out with the old

in with the new and all connected back

when i have the time , i will be turning this cut piece into a
hinged litle flap for fuel pump access

After all died at 20:00 friday night and back in action at around 13:30
    on saturday afternoon , RESULT !!! :D

Read the whole thing properly ,the title says its an "emergency change"
also no where along the line i claim this to be the way forward in fuel pump changing or ask it to be made a sticky !!

If you are driving a ford fiesta or a badboy corsa in your daily life this method wont be necessary for you so look elsewhere or turn the internet off if it gets you so upset ? But for the hardcore amongst us that own their cars to drive daily ,this saves quite a lot of time and pissing about
