Right when I going along in 2nd or 3rd at a constant of about 2-2500 rpm the car will start kangarooing. Any body got any ideas at all? Not great with engines.
Cheers all

Unfortunately it could be a few things.
What would be the first few things to try?
Well theres the ignition side of things.
Coil and amp working properly? dizzy/rotor not burnt out? Leads not breaking down? Plugs clean and gapped correctly?
Ignition module....
Good advice. If all these have not been done for a while then well worth doing them anyway just as a general 'service' which may then end up resolving the problem. New sparks, leads, dizzy and rotor is an easy DIY job and would come in at under 100 quid, and they would then all be good for many miles to come.Originally Posted by MatBrown
Does it do it under full load or just part throttle?
I had one like yours, turned out to be the o2 sensor.
It's just on part throtle. And sometimes when coming to lights when put the clutch down it will cut out. Noticed today that does it more when goin over a bump so maybe a loose connection of something, as to what I don't know.
Plugs and leads are only 6 months old so goin to change dizzy and rotar tomoz hopefully.
Any more ideas appreciated.
This will be a case of trial and error and just going over the car bit by bit. If you look on the bright side, it's a good chance to get to know the car and clean up any other bits you do find.
The problem you have there is too ambiguous in nature to say its any one thing for sure.
check the earth from gearbox to chassis leg !!
combined with bad engine mounts it can cause the problem going
over bumps .
