My clio remapped @ RS Tuning

Went to rs tuning yesterday to finish having the clio mapped. i was there a few months back after fitting a group a scuttle induction set up and changing my cam timing to get more top end power. unfortunately Paul found the limit of the standard 16v/Williams injectors (192cc) with this setup, it was running out of fuel at 5.5k making a nice improvement until that point.
He couldn't do much else at this point so i had to make be until i got some bigger injectors.
Saw a set of bosch 802's ( 284cc ) come up for sale a few weeks ago and grabbed them straight away and got on the phone to paul to get booked in but he was fully booked due to fcs etc and the earliest i could get was yesterday.
Drove up once again and let him work his magic, car is now making a very nice improvement over what it was before , haven't had a proper chance to test it out yet as the 200 mile back was done in pouring down rain but it did wheel spin quite often when i did floor it Went to say thanks to paul and andy ( speccy ) for fitting the new injectors , top man and cant wait to see the new build :D

Quick spec of the engine :
    Williams 2.0ltr F7R
    AP Development stage 2 Headwork
    Piper 285 Cams
    Piper adjustable pulleys
    Supersprint Manifold
    Mongoose exh sys with decat
    Group A Scuttle induction kit
    Bosch 802 injectors
    Walbro 190l/h fuel pump
    Rs tuning live remap

    Result:

this is a before and after, 1st run was done on old cam timing , std inj and std airbox, 2nd is how it is now ...

and a few pics from the day

next to speccys daily, only 400bhp or something lol, turbo the size of a dustbin lid i swear lol

Solid result mate, about 10 hp over previous results. Been a long tim coming eh?

What did Paul say after that?

You are on standard management still eh?

Not much more you can do with standard inlet other than maybe a new higher compression block, or even a rebuilt and balanced one. Beyond that you would have to go forced induction or ITB's and standalone management...big money time ;)

The head is Williams? Bigger valves or stock Willy?

155lbs/ft is pretty epic on stock inlet!

    Cheers lads :D

wobba my aim was to unleash some more top end power as i believed the setup had more in it after 1st getting it mapped, fitting the induction kit and changing the cam timing seems to have done the trick as it doesn't tail off now and has improved all over pretty much. cant ask for much more really :D i will take it to my local rolling road ( Surrey rolling road) in the next few weeks where i have had all my previous run and i honestly believe it will make 190bhp/160lb/ft or there about ( there is always a 10bhp difference with my car between these 2 rollers )

Paul was happy and said it is making a fair bit more power than a 182 does lol, they make about 165bhp totally std on his rollers. he also said it's about time for a decent ecu lol

i am still on the std management for the second, i have an omex 600 and pretty much all the bits needed to fit BUT am unsure what to do at the min as it will cost to get it fitted and mapped etc, will think about what i want to do over the next few weeks ...

Personally i wouldn't do any more with the std inlet i do think this is its limit for a car that you want to live with daily and even then its a push if im honest. the next logical step would be itb BUT again cost play a big part in this and i honestly don't fancy pouring any more money into this car apart from trackdays and getting me around lol .

The head is a williams head that has been flowed etc/ rebuilt by stan , been on 18 months and more than happy with it :D
