what do u reckon to pulling the initial meeting point south a bit more matt???? say basingstoke, or is this set in stone now? just a bit of a way for the majority of people going to this.

I recon meeting around reading and heading towards alton sounds good as it's in the middle for everyone? Plus you'll be heading back toward southampton!

Does this still sound like a plan then:

"How about we meet at Reading services on the M4 on the Welshbound side and then we can go down the A33 towards Basingstoke and then down the A339 from Basingstoke to Alton in Hampshire."

Ok, how about meeting at Junction 5 of the M3? It's the Odiham junction. If you come off there, head towards Odiham on a short bit of duel carriageway, you'll come to a roundabout. Come off on the first exit, down a small road and there's a pub on the right almost straight away. We'll meet around that pub? At 10.30am?

Then we can head down on the B3349 to Alton, where there's a cafe that does great fry-ups, and then have a blast along the A339 to Basingstoke

How's that for everyone?
