Not a stella entry list......mmm the only more competitive type entry in the UK would be the WRC rally of Rally of Wales

We prey for rain as i really enjoy it and it takes the edge off the 300hp 2wd stuff.!!!!

Well I don't see many of the top boys in there thats all...apart from the top 3 or 4 maybe. Sure it will be very competitive, as they always are, but lets be fair people like Duckworth, Perez, Bird, Burton, Griffiths, Dodds etc are not there.

Yup, rain is always a good leveller, and so is 'home' roads so I am sure you will go well. Do you run any in-car vid? Would be good to see.

The guys you mentioned are all forest rally men apart from Bird who doesnt enter the British championship, just does bits an pieces. Forest aint my scene hence British tarmac championship, these are the top guys.

Simon Mauger in his MK2 went to Ireland and won the Irish championship first go....beating the top Irish guys and first time on the roads!!

Thanks rubishing the UK rally scene and enjoy your ice racing and vodka..

    Anyhow

Well its what I am used to racing against really, so apologies for that.

Not rubbishing tarmac at all, I have huge respect for the front guys. I did the Manx a few years ago and scared myself silly. The speeds, grip and G forces just to stay within reach are stupid..plus there are all very narrow and unforgiving stages! Only tarmac I like now is inbetween the stages..

Even the WRC teams used to emply their own tarmac specialists, so that tells you all you need to know about how demanding and different the two are.

Its a lot of work changing from gravel to tarmac spec, and getting the car set up right. I still haven't cracked my set up here 100% as I have been doing a few Rallisprint (kinda like a hillclimb event but on the flat) events in my Impreza here...I would be absolutely wiped the floor with if I entered the full gravel rallies up here.

You have balls mate, because tarmac is VERY difficult to get good at. Make sure you leave your brain at time control!!

    Good luck.

    No worries....

You need a brain to actually put it in a jar..!!! LOL

The Manx is part of the same championship as this. Good luck with the WRC Subaru.
