The engine is out of a 2002 car with 83k miles on the clock but there was no proof of the cambelt change !! Am i right assuming it needs doing yesterday and it costs a helluvaa lot on these engines ?
I have also got the ecu that came off the car , is it any good ?
There is a brand new clutch on it as well which is 120 quids worth i have been told . I am not in a rush to put this in the R9 yet as i believe i can get similar sort of power from the F7R i am running allready with cams, remap etc . and i would not have to fokkabowwt with wiring .
So will be collecting some info on the conversion and keep the engine for a bit as my priority at the moment is mintilising the Chamade ,running it as a daily driver
Yep, it costs more, because it's not a straight forward job, you need special Renault tools, because of "de-phaser" pulley, you obviously need more knowledge to do this.Originally Posted by schakal
it'd be cheap enough being out of the car - I'd personally just take it as is to a specialist and get it done on a bench.
Ecu is no good.Originally Posted by schakal
You need a phase 1 172 loom, ecu and throttle body.
Just stick with the f7r man!
now I have done f7p forged low comp turbo conversion

Get it in, there the shizzle. i tickled my head and bashed it tn me 5 turns out my 2'' zaust is too small, and the bottom end is fooked 8bar on 2 cyls 11 on other two, but still 176 on the rollers. thats good power and ud need cams and head work to get any where like that on a 7r
