I need to drain my fuel tank.

I have a Willy 1 thats going to be stood for a while. Its holding nearly a full tank of petrol, I want to drain it off, whats the best way to get about 90% of it out carefully!

    Thanks Alan.

Any particular reason for draining it? Won't harm anything it being stood with fuel in.

Under the drivers side of the car you will find the fuel pipes that feed the engine, undo the green one then put 12v to the pump.

Its a waste just sitting there, I may as well put in in the Willy 3 and go for a blast :D Or mow the lawn for a couple of seasons! Fuel goes off with time and I dont know how long its gonna be sat around for.

or pull it form the fuel rail in the engine bay for the same effect. (will take a little longer though as it's further down the fuel system)
