I think you can get it new from Renault, but it's mental price. You must also recalibrate it when fitting, IIRC.
what pisses me off is that it says on it , its made in England .
they should be cheap .
that calibration business is a lot of baloney IME
what is the calibration procedure?Originally Posted by dkrevs
I got one from renault a couple of years ago, it was over £100. 'Calibrated' it by ear and a bit of trial and error.
It's a Colvern sensor. Pretty freely available. Used on a lot of cars
cars such as what mate ?Originally Posted by sideways danny
I don't exactly know the procedure but special Renault tools must be used to do it properly IIRC. I think it's related to the fact that the throttle opening value is not voltage but in numbers from 0 to 255. It's Renault and their specialty to make things complicated.Originally Posted by dhay14
Actually, procedure is written in Williams Clio manual, which Yanoo_ linked in Mechanical section. http://www.williamsclio.co.uk/forum/...25066&start=40 Page 56 in that PDF.
XR 25 is the special tool.
is the XR 25 still available? and where can this tool be bought? and approx how much?
