looking into converting to r1 bike carbs on a budget any opinions are welcome on pro/cons

Answer to this question is really simple. There's really no abundance of space in Clio bay, so make them as long as possible.

With bike parts, your biggest concern will be more finding some with a large enough throttle plate. Most bikes use 38mm or less. Overall length will just effect torque by a handful of lb/ft
As above. IMHO, somewhere around 33cm is doable on F7 series engine in Clio, but with special MAXI style plenum.
