For those that use F1s and have got them trough mytyres, there is a guy on the BM boards that had one fail when he was pushing on in his M5. Rumours are that there are some japanese F1s knocking about that aren't E-marked and are not up to scratch quality-wise.

Might be worth you checking. Mine both say made in germany and have an E13 marking on them.

I thought all F1's were E marked. Back in the day we used to get a lot of Japanese cars in that didnt have E-marked tyres, but nowadays even the trick Yokos (that we cant buy here) are E-marked.

What's e-marked?

Had 5 sets (I think, lost count) of F1-GSD2 Thailand-made and 1 set of F1-GSD2 German-made. No problems whatsoever under heavy abuse.

Maybe it was a fitting issue on the M5.
