    Oil filter removal techniques

Just wondering the best way to remove the oil filter. In the haynes it says between the sump and the subframe is the way to do it but i have found that access between the headlamp and grill is easier. Also i use big gas pliers to get it off is there a better way?

Haynes writes right. There is a 'hole' between the sump and subframe, approximately at the corner of the radiator, under the alternator, where you can get off the filter. Although you need a slim hand and an oil filter ribbon wrench.

    As above...
To make it even easier get a special filter removal tool.

Very compact and with a built in ratchet.
Quite expensive but worth the money!

Take the battery out then you can get your full forearm in or tool at it from sideways on.

I find this the best way.
