Dude a garage can't charge 700 quid and not fix the problem it went in for. There taking the piss out of ya. Demand the car back. You've lost that money though as you probably agreed they fit the parts. Lesson learned don't I repeat don't trust an Irishmen. Lol

At this point i just want it going iv lost 6 weeks of car insurance and tax which im still paying for.

Kevmiester your right it is a hard lesson i now have to give the car to a Renault dealer so have to prepare for another BIG bill.

Am just looking forward to the day it works and hopefully before the end of the summer.

Im form Northern Ireland so im not just Irish and also British when I want to be and they can be trusted right!

Noooooo!!!!!! Don't take it a Renault main dealer! They're not known as 'Stealers' for nothing you know as many others on here will tell you!

They'll charge you prob around £100 per hour and none of the guys there will know any of the Clio Mk1 perculiarities as all they'll be used to is doing bog standard services on rep mobiles....

Renault dealers charge about £100 just to replace a set of front brake pads!!

Apart from being French! and I do sometimes wonder if I should had bought Jap but anyway.

Computer diagnostics testing,Spark Plugs, Coil park, Roater Arm, Distributor cap and Distributor.

that was on the bill so going by that I think it was an electrical problem the car ran out of electricity and all the parts failed in one go which was nice.

He just said it was the ECU and some parts failed.

Im just glad to have it back sort of as its now away getting a new timing belt so I dont have it back yet but one day im hoping i will see it on my drive once again.
