It could have been the pin I was using I guess. Had gear selection issues with both cars I tested with it AND the shifter at same time that's all.
I've got one of these and is good imo!

If you don't use the shorted pin the overall shift throw shortening is around 15 percentage. You would achieve the same shortening if you used the shorted pin together with the OEM gearstick and fixed ball joint housing (also known as Stiff Shift). In this case the gear knob does not sit lower and does not become hot in summer or cold in winter. This combination has already proven in many Hungarian Clios (from rally car to turbo'd drag Clio... currently this drag Clio is the 1st in the Street category in the Hungarian National Drag Race). By the way it's waaay cheaper.
So standard gear stick, with a short gearbox pin. Sound interesting.
Whats involved with installating the pin? gearbox apart job?
