RALLY REPORT - PINK CUP RACER

As kindly posted by Cliorod we had a best result to date at our last event at 3 sisters. We won the class and came an amazing 3rd O/A both 1st and 2nd are 2500cc sequential boxed cars, the winner in a Lotus Europa is rapid (300bhp and 700kgs) and has won the rally for the last 6 years.! in the video we were hassling him on some parts of the track but he is still a couple of seconds a stage quicker than us.

The compination of the New ITB engine, Alcon brakes and the wider front michelins have jumped us righ upto the class favouites now.

    1 1 Stuart Deeley/Lotus Europa 28:20 1
    2 7 Bertie Morton/Ford Escort MkII 28:47 2
    3 5 Steve Quigley/Renault Clio 29:10 3
    4 9 Keith Downthwaite/Ford Escort 29:24 4

Yay! Hassle that Europa! Almost same as my engine :D Looks like its harsh on the rear judging by the way it moves and shifts on the odd road bump hehe. Just how I like mine!

    Well done

Very true, mmm sponsorship.....free engine rebuilds... and it has more to come i think as the supersprint manifold is too small and very top end orientated, plus the mani outlet is no where near matching the 2.5" system. Will be having a Tony Law one made end of the year and remapped.

Next jump in performance will have to be sequential to look at potential o/a wins...but thats a long way off and enjoying leading the class for now.

New mani and d/p would help you with stages like that I reckon. Is that vid with the Oreca exhaust?

Well give me a call and we'll work something out

The Trident Engineering sprint williams (The one I rebuilt late last year...Originally Sodemo built engine) was out last weekend, he was leading the class by a massive 5secs at Llandow on the Saturday!! was the same story the following day at llys-y-fran untill he snapped both driveshafts!!

That'll be in for the mapping to be 100% tweaked over the next couple of weeks so I'll let you know what power it makes.

    Its blisteringly quick...

    Like mine then! :D

Is that the one with the super hard clutch?

If that video is with the orcesarwhatever exhaust fitted then I've got one sat on the floor at APD at the moment. Sounds quite raspy as you mentioned in your PM Evo.

Mines got a new Megane clutch on, not a loopy one thank Christ, don't think my poor old knees could take it in rush hour.
