    CV Boot?

    Hi Guys,

Finally did the oil change on the clio over the weekend. Noticed a lot of rubbish/gunk on the back of the sump.

I assume it is the inner CV Boot gone. I had a quick feel and it felt ok, but have to give it a more thorough inspection.

If it has gone, what the quickest and cheapest way to replace?....new driveshaft ?...or can you get a kit?

I need to take off the wishbones as am changing them so I dont think removing the drive sharft will be too much extra work.......will it?

Should be in Mechanical section tbh mat.

Driveshafts are easy, except you need to drain box if passenger side is to come off. Also, if it is just the inner boot you could get away with just undoing it and putting on gaiter (can be hard!) otherwise, hub nut time. 32mm socket jobbie usually and very tight.
