    squeaky power steering????

    finally got the alternator sorted, now ive got an horrendous squeak on full lock???? is the belt over tensioned????

    if PAS was OK beforehand then yes, slacked it off a tad...

    so tighten and untighten until it stops sqeaking then..!

    At full lock is when the belt is under the most load. If it is not tight enough it will slip, making that noise. It needs to be tightened a bit.

    I think its something like 1.5 - 3 mm play you want when pressing your thumb onto the tightened belt to test tension, or thereabouts. Check Haynes.
