Apparently Renault have just announced a recall for all Williams and 16v model mark 1 cars and from 1992 - 1997 due to a manufacturing process error in the metal used on body shells.

Apparently they are replacing all our shells with versions that did not use contaminated metal, which is far more likely to rust according the the GARB report published today by Renault UK.

You can opt for a new bonnet although they say that bonnets were made using the correct grade metal and should not be prone to the same corrosion.

I believe you can contact your local main dealer and organise your car to be collected for a complete new shell and respray.
