    buying a 306 advice needed!!

    looking at a 306, does anyone lknow anything about these got a few probs maybe:

    gearbox seems to make a grinding noise lightly in nutral, might be a bearing?¿ might not have been from the gbox but seemed like it.

    also when driving and stopping the stop warning light and oil warning light came on briefly as revs dropped below 1000 rpm, any ideas??

    was in good nick apaert from those things, any ides wot they might mean anyone?

    lol, was on my PDA sitting in a service station... Didn't realise that everytime I was hitting refresh it was posting again.

    Anyway, bought the 306.

    Sounds like the thrust bearing might be on its way out, sitting in nutral u can hear it, put the clutch down and the noise goes away. Apparently the gearboxes for these are quite cheap tho so no problem I guess.

    Oil lights was just cuz of low oil.

    Bargain I think :D

    OTOH, that would sound like a perfectly healthy Clio Williams :D
