    Classic Insurance - Hagerty

    Hi guys,

Almost had my Willy a year now and remember at the time being recommended a company Hagerty who specialised in classic car and low mileage insurance policies.

I've been with them for the past 12 months but have just received a letter saying they've changed their underwriting guidelines and won't cover the type of car any more. Which is a real shame as I was only paying about £200 for a low mileage, fixed value policy.

There were some others with Hagery, have you received similar letters? Anyone know of any similar insurers?

    Cheers

It may be worth calling Hagerty and see what they are doing with all these people they can no longer insure. Insurance companies pay a LOT of money for good sales leads so it does not make sense they are just giving you up. They could have an alternative product you need to call them about before they offer it.

I got told they wouldn't, as did the two companies they recommended. Went back to Footman James. Unlimited mileage at 300 quid

HIC mate, agreed price policy and all my mods declared, they are very cheap compared to other quotes I was getting. The guy I spoke to had a little chat with me about my car too. They also cover track days...

Footman James only quote for over 25 year olds though unfortunately for us young-uns!
